Many individuals feel stress, nerves or anxiety, and/or sadness or depression at times in their lives—the CrescentCare behavioral health team is ready to offer support in managing and resolving these feelings to promote wellness. CrescentCare offers behavioral health counseling, substance use counseling, and psychiatry to any individual receiving medical care at a CresentCare site. In addition, CrescentCare offers behavioral health services to individuals not receiving primary medical care at CrescentCare if the individual has an HIV diagnosis. Services are offered in individual and group sessions by licensed mental health professionals.
Behavioral health services are available at all three service locations during regular business hours Monday – Friday (appointments can be made during non-traditional hours):
- CrescentCare Specialty Center (2601 Tulane Ave.)
- CrescentCare FACES & Family Care Services Center (4640 S. Carrollton Ave.)
- CrescentCare Health and Wellness Center (3308 Tulane Ave.).
Please call or walk-in to schedule an appointment. Payment may be requested for behavioral health services; inability to pay will not prevent access to services.
If you or someone you know is having a behavioral health crisis, call 9-1-1 or the Metropolitan Crisis Response Team at (504) 826-2675.
Mental Health Rehabilitation: CrescentCare offers home and community-based case management and behavioral health services. Individuals in need can be referred to these services through the Louisiana Department of Health Permanent Supportive Housing Program or by CrescentCare case managers. These home and community-based services are designed for individuals living with serious mental illness and Medicaid is required for access to these services. The goal of the program is to increase independence and wellness in the individual’s own community.
